The Centre for Academic Excellence and Quality Assurance (CAE) is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success. The Academic Integrity Facilitator will design, develop, and coordinate Academic Integrity strategies and resources in order to promote a culture of academic honesty at the College. The Facilitator will provide expertise and apply best practices in the areas of educational development, curriculum and quality assurance.

Candidates must be available to work in the CAE Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Candidates should be willing to be flexible with their working hours to support faculty and students based on variety of needs.

The responsibilities of St. Clair College Professors include, but are not limited to:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic Excellence, the Academic Integrity Facilitator’s primary responsibilities include:
Research, design, develop and deliver professional development workshops that assist faculty to incorporate academic integrity principles and practices into teaching and learning environments.
Assist in the expansion of faculty’s knowledge and appreciation in the importance of academic integrity and of the shared responsibilities of academic integrity.
Research, recommend, and create academic integrity support materials for faculty and students.
Research, design, develop and deliver academic integrity workshops to students referred to the CAE by departmental chairs.
Participate in student orientation activities in relation to academic integrity.
Assist in the design and maintenance of academic integrity policy and process.
Through collaboration with faculty, CAE staff, and administration research, develop, and recommend strategies, practices and processes to improve the organizational culture and practices as it relates to academic integrity and educational technology.
Contribute to the quality assurance processes at St. Clair College to ensure a successful audit through the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service.
Collaborate with faculty members, Coordinators and Chairs in arranging for and delivering a high quality of service and support to ensure the achievement of the goals of St. Clair College and the Centre for Academic Excellence and Quality Assurance.
Design and implement professional learning initiatives that enhance contemporary teaching practices at the College by utilizing evidence-based practices, pedagogical/andragogical research, and emerging learning technologies to guide the creation of custom training solutions for Faculty/Staff on all campuses.
Coordinate and facilitate educational development activities, new and existing program curriculum development, reviews, as well as quality assurance processes for all credentials offered at St. Clair College.
Develop, organize and maintain resources on the Centre for Academic Excellence and Quality Assurance (CAE) Intranet and website, and in other relevant St. Clair College website and repositories.
Collaborate with faculty/SMEs and CAE team to define appropriate instructional strategies and philosophies for hybrid, and fully online engagement in meaningful learning.
Identify, develop and deliver training and professional development with respect to various aspects of outcome- based education.
Identify, design and develop instructional materials and online modules to support synchronous and asynchronous online courses that meet or exceed relevant accessibility requirements (i.e. AODA and WCAG), are pedagogically- sound, compatible with the existing LMS (Blackboard), relevant enterprise-level technologies, and/or mobile platforms, that align with and are reflective of current design practices, technology integration, and student engagement.
Provide support and assistance to faculty in developing new courses and/or transferring existing course materials in suitable online formats as it relates to pedagogy by applying best practices and in compliance with regulatory requirements and St. Clair College policies.
Such other appropriate and related duties as may be developed.

The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
A graduate degree with preference given to an education related discipline.
Educational or work experience background in law will be considered an asset.
Five years of teaching at the post-secondary level with a demonstrated application of adult educational principles and teaching/assessment methodologies.
Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills along with the ability to work independently or collaboratively and positively with others in the accomplishment of joint goals.
Exceptional presentation, coaching, and consultation skills.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of teaching to diverse audiences in various learning environments.
A high level of knowledge of all aspects of the teaching and learning process is expected.
Excellent writing and document creation skills with the ability to create accessible educational materials,
Superior knowledge of Blackboard LMS.
Familiarity with the outcome-based education processes (e.g. outcome creation, curriculum development, lesson planning, course outline and program review, etc.
A distinct familiarity with, experience and skill in the use of technology both at a personal level and in the facilitation of learning;
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and proven approach to life-long learning;
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
Commitment to diversity and equity are essential to interact effectively with the College’s diverse student and staff population;
Fundamental understanding of the Ontario community college system, including new program and degree development.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide a 10-minute presentation. Details will be provided when interviews are scheduled.
