DUTIES:
Northern College is seeking a faculty member for the Business and Office Administration Programs, beginning in August 2021.

As part of teaching assigned courses, the successful candidate will be expected to act as an academic advisor to students in the program, participate as a leader and effective team member working in groups at the college, create a positive teaching and learning environment, using a variety of strategies and materials in the multi-modal delivery of courses. The incumbent should embody a commitment to student success and professional development and demonstrate capacity for leadership in a multi-cultural organization. In addition, the successful candidate must ensure currency and relevance of the teaching material and assessment techniques, must participate in recruitment and program promotion initiatives, and participate in professional development activities at Northern College relevant to his/her own needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent will possess the following qualifications:

Degree in Communication, Business, Education, or related field of study;
Master's degree in Communication, Business or Education or a credential in a related field of study (i.e. CPA, CHRP) is an asset;
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of Marketing (preferred), Management, Human Resources, or Accounting;
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
Evidence of sound communication and problem solving skills;
Must possess excellent computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite);
Extensive knowledge of teaching methodologies is an asset; and
Teaching experience using a variety of modes of delivery (video, web-based, etc) is an asset.
The successful candidate may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
