Mohawk College is currently recruiting for our next

Professor, International Business Management

The School of Communication and Global Studies, in the McKeil School of Business, requires a full time Professor to teach theoretical and practical business applications in our International Business Management and Global Business Management programs.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years teaching experience at the post-secondary level in both classroom-based and online delivery modes. Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the successful applicant will be expected to develop, deliver, and revise curricula of a variety of courses at the graduate certificate level. Faculty must be adept at innovative delivery methods so as to provide a meaningful learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Professors in this department are responsible for providing academic leadership for developing an effective learning environment.

All candidates selected for an interview will be required to present on a topic related to the position as part of the interview process.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

​Deliver the theory and practical application.
​Create a positive learning environment in the classroom and other learning spaces.
​Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies including classroom lectures and workshops, online learning, simulations and experiential learning.
​Use a variety of techniques to evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes.
​Demonstration of student-centered course design and delivery, including aspects of Universal Design for Learning and intercultural competence.
​Assess student feedback and industry trends to develop, deliver and revise curriculum.
​Engage in applied research.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant must have:

​A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Product Management or equivalent.
​Three to five years of progressive business experience.
​Experience improving organizational and product life-cycle management processes using information technology and project management methodologies.
​Three to five years teaching experience at the post-secondary level; graduate level teaching would be an asset.
​Demonstrated ability of student-centered, innovative delivery in both traditional and online courses
​Demonstrated experience in curriculum development at the course and/or program level.
​Strong ties to related industry and/or organizational bodies for this field
​Experience and/or interest in leading in a Program Coordinator capacity.
​Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
DBA/PhD in a related field or in progress would be an asset.
​Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
Faculty members hired at Mohawk College must be prepared to teach with a learner-centered approach and to assist in the development and application of alternate delivery methods. He/she/They may be assigned to teach classes at any College Campus and may be scheduled to teach between 8:00am and 10:00pm, Monday to Friday.
