Fleming is located in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes Region in Central Ontario... a beautiful place to live and work, surrounded by natural beauty and a mere 90 minutes north-east of Toronto. As a Professor for Supply Chain Management – Global Logistics (SCL), you will play a key role in promoting academic excellence and creating an effective learning environment. You will be expected to contribute to the discipline by developing relevant, program-aligned curricula, contribute to cross college discussions, develop student skills, and play an effective role with the teaching teams, integrating innovative learning strategies and outcomes. Student assignments involve real world tasks and goals that are relevant to learner needs.

What We Are Looking For:

You possess a relevant combination of current (within the last 5 years) teaching experience and work experience, along with a university degree in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching experience at post-secondary institutions and consideration will be given to those with other forms of education delivery.

The successful candidate has a strong background in supply chain management with several large companies dealing with international suppliers or customers. Supply chain operations experience is strongly preferred.

Additional qualifications required or working towards are:
• CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) Designation;
• CCLP (Certified Logistics Professional) designation;
• CCI (CIFFA Instructor) Certification;
• CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management); and
• CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) designation.

Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma (via green and/or black belts) is an asset.

This role requires self-motivation, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for learning and for supporting student success. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to create positive learning experiences for diverse learners. The ability to be flexible, adaptable, and creative with both students and community partners is essential. Good organizational and time management skills plus the ability to work independently as well as within a team-based environment are required. Demonstrated critical-thinking skills with the ability to apply a creative, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving is a must. Our ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable and has the ability to remain current within a constantly changing environment. You are comfortable working with technology and are proficient in a variety of computer applications including word processing, presentation, e-mail, learning management systems, online learning applications and various web applications.
